Still makes me crack up every time I see the lightsaber fights. Water, energy blades rolling on a body... Man, great stuff. On the other hand, the guy who found that light saber in the beggining seems like he's not very open to constructive criticizm. Even when I'd like to congratulate him on his second attempt at a certain video...

Hahahaha, it was so much fun making this movie, you guys have no idea. If I recall the idea was to make a sequel to "Owned" which was even more... um... random... except with more lightsabers.

The goal was to preserve the goofy antics of the prequel while adding a certain... um somthing to the film. Really the credit here goes to the editor and director Napamanga. He's friggin awesome and knows how to make wooden dowels into (nearly) flawless lightsabers. Hopefully over the summer we'll make a movie with a script (check out denumounte's trailer (sp?) under napa's profile, to get an idea of what we *might* do)

She states that Canada sent troops to Vietnam to help the U.S. Is she really that dumb or is she just making things up on purpose like her buddy O'Reilly? no they didn't, the Canadians who served there were US servicemen...not Canadians
__________________________________________________
masudrules ::: Favorites  2007-09-19 21:32:28

Canada did have a presence throughout the Viet Nam conflict on the ICCS (International Control Commission). It consisted of a maximum of three people up until the US troop pullout, at which time it increased to about 150. They left shortly afterwards. The Canadian navy had a destroyer in the area during that short period as an emergency evacuation ship, should it have ever become necessary.

masudrules ::: Favorites  2007-09-19 21:35:48

There is a serious misconception at work here. Canada did not have a military presence in Viet Nam during the core of the conflict involving the USA. In other words, we were NOT there during the fighting. Canada joined the ICCS after the Paris Peace Accords were signed. They were part of the International observer system and NOT under a combat liability.

The government of Canada awarded medals to 1,550 of these troops for their service between August 7, 1954 and January 28, 1973. A second medal was also awarded to the 240 Canadian troops who participated in "Operation Gallant" in Vietnam from January 28, 1973 to July 31, 1973. Many official Canadian government documents about the International Control Commission for Vietnam (a mixture of Canadian troops and Canadian civilians) are available on the Internet and elsewhere. -duh-

Canadian, Indian and Polish troops formed the International Control Commission, which was supposed to monitor the 1954 ceasefire agreement. The Canadian government also lent diplomatic assistance to the United States to establish contact with the North Vietnamese regime.

vaughanweather ::: Favorites  2007-10-03 23:41:53

The government of Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson resisted considerable U.S. pressure to send troops to Vietnam. Although not a major arms supplier, Canadian-made military hardware was used in Vietnam, including large amounts of Agent Orange manufactured by Dow Chemical. Most Canadians who served in the Vietnam War were members of the United States military with estimated numbers ranging from 30,000 to 40,000.

vaughanweather ::: Favorites  2007-10-03 23:42:10

Many became U.S. citizens upon returning from Vietnam or were dual citizens prior to joining the military.[123] The Canadian government gave political asylum to significant numbers of American deserters and draft dodgers during the conflict. Canada hosted 30,000--90,000 Americans seeking asylum. A large number returned to the United States after a pardon was issued by President Jimmy Carter. The remainder, roughly half, chose to stay in Canada.

Ann coulter is correct, Canadians participated in Vietnam in '73 under Operation Gallant. Between 28 January 1973 and 31 July 1973, Canada provided 240 peacekeeping troops to Operation Gallant, the peace keeping operation associated with the International Commission of Control and Supervision (ICCS) Vietnam, along with Hungary, Indonesia, and Poland.[12] Their role was to monitor the cease-fire in South Vietnam per the Paris Peace Accords.[13]

Ann Coulter is correct, so all these people trying to make her out like she doesn't know what she is talking about make me laugh.
__________________________________________________
CharBroiled04 ::: Favorites  2007-10-28 01:10:43

The ICCS was formed long before Vietnam (about 20yrs before) and was, like you said, a PEACE KEEPING OPERATION. The organization is not a combat force in anyway, it's a NEUTRAL power that oversees Peace Treaties and Cease Fires. In addition, the Canadian Government strongly resisted US pressure to send troops to the war. And if you want to be as absolutely technical as you can be and say "so, they still sent 'troops' to Vietnam (the country)" that doesn't support her argument. (cont)
__________________________________________________
CharBroiled04 ::: Favorites  2007-10-28 01:17:22

(cont) She's clearly arguing that Canada sent troops to the Vietnam Conflict as combatants. Canada did not support Vietnam and you could not correctly say they were "one of our most loyal friends" in the way she's implying. She's a detrement both to persons individually and to the very concept of debate and analysis. She angers me so much I want to smack her every time I see her. If there's something wrong with American society today it's that this evil, nazi hag is aloud to spew her filth.
__________________________________________________
mateo1970 ::: Favorites  2007-10-28 06:25:32

Canadians participated in the war and were clearly NOT neutral. They were clearly against the Northern Communist and, indeed, supplied armaments to the Southern Vietnamese. Coulter is right.
