mgpapas ::: Favorites The Republican party exploits the issues that divide. The Republicans represent themselves as standing for issues that many are unwilling to compromise on, that are labeled "moral values". They label Democrats as athiests or as not being "true Christians". Many Christian republicans honestly believe this is a battle between good and evil. Iraq is basically irrelevant to them. 06-11-03 14:19:38 _____________________________________________________
puddysma ::: Favorites Yes, we are terribly divided and this is not a new phenomenon. The divide has been consistently growing until we have essentially an unspoken civil war in this country. The hatred between these sides is horrifying. The election of '94 was Reps taking control away from Dems...people wanted change then. This is nothing new...it only gets deeper and deeper, the chasm. 06-11-03 19:20:48 _____________________________________________________
Stephanreyu ::: Favorites Most conservatives have disowned Rush. His behavior was inexcusable. Even though I am against stem cell research, I don't think Fox is an evil or deceitful man.Rush actually helped your cause by creating more anti-conseravite setiment. I spite the attidudes of many of my conservative contemparies. 06-11-10 11:04:32 _____________________________________________________ |
