Description:
For several reasons, this is a very special clip. Jim Boynton, SJ is the vocation director for the Detroit Province of the Society of Jesus. When I was in the 8th grade, Jim and I played in a band together called "Tap the Bow". Jim was VERY young Jesuit in those days! This clip is from a concert held at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Detroit on October 29, 2005. Bob Scullin, SJ (Provincial of the Detroit Province) debuted his CD at this concert. Jim and I offered the "intermission entertainment" as you can see here. This is also the first time I've put anything up either with me in my Roman collar or with me playing the accordion. As I've said on my blog (www.ryandunssj.blogspot.com) the purpose of putting videos here is to show that our talents and gifts, when offered to the Lord, aren't erased but magnified. I'm grateful to be able to play music and use my musical skill as part of my ministry. If you or someone you know might be interested in the Society of Jesus, please email me! |
