DONT WATCH IF YOU'RE A MINOR, EASILY OFFENDED, OR HAVE A WEAK STOMACH! some info: - the rat has a battery access hatch made out of velcro on its back, but i forgot to film how i sew it in - sorry! - the white stuff on my hands is talcum (powder inside the gloves i was wearing during skinning). - if you solder a battery, make sure you do it quick - if the battery is exposed to heat from the soldering gun for too long, it will EXPLODE! - you can buy feeder pets - rats, mice, and even rabbits and sometimes guinea pigs - at snake food stores. just browse the yellow pages. - last but not least: the original tutorial is by CANIDA from instructables.com (search for mouse taxidermy; she also did the access hatch and LED tutorial). i only altered it to my liking (LEDs not sticking out of the skull as much, "real" posture of the rat, and some different wiring techniques and stuff), but the main idea for all of this came from her! - any more questions? wanna do it yourself? go ahead and send me a message or comment on this video. :-) |
