LuisOdi ::: Favorites I LOVE THEM, IS MY COMMENT 07-08-23 23:47:07 _____________________________________________________
IMAmoose24 ::: Favorites God. I saw them live in 2005. Wern't very good, no matter how good they're recorded stuff is. They just arn't a live band I guess. 07-08-23 14:53:49 _____________________________________________________
technetium01 ::: Favorites You probably caught them at a bad day or something. I've seen them live, and they sounded fantastic. 07-08-27 21:49:26 _____________________________________________________
elvisatemydonuts ::: Favorites Neko should be referred to as a backup singer on this song, because that's what she's doing (she's not singing lead). And yes, she has the best voice in the band, but that doesn't change the fact that she's singing backup here. It shows that she doesn't need an ego stroke, and is willing to be a team player. That makes her even cooler. 07-08-22 22:06:33 _____________________________________________________
bogart345 ::: Favorites This is the way I wish they ended the song on the album. It blandly trails away on the recording. Here is quite kicks ass. And for the record: Neko's out of my league. Which is why I instead love Kathryn. 07-08-22 14:42:36 _____________________________________________________
leanneo ::: Favorites bogart - what does that say about kathryn!!! is she somehow more accessible to you? silly. so if you are really a fan, i hope that you listen to the immaculate machine then. i agree that neko and kathryn's amazing voices were underutilised in this performance. 07-08-22 14:51:26 _____________________________________________________
bogart345 ::: Favorites Oh my. Look, my comment was meant to be tongue in cheek. Kathryn gets scant attention as she is in the formidable shadow of Neko (See: these comments). I happen to like her voice and think it adds much to NP. I do listen to immaculate machine and am seeing them at a small venue a couple weeks. In that regard she actually IS more accessible to me than Neko. So there! 07-08-22 15:01:31 _____________________________________________________
supermanakasean ::: Favorites lol electric accordion 07-08-22 12:04:10 _____________________________________________________
MrSilentG ::: Favorites Oh yeah... I was just being facetious. As a huge fan of "Blacklisted" and "Fox Confessor," I well know the power and grace that Case brings to the table. The gist of the comment was that Case is the greatest singer in the world to have been relegated to "backup" status. I agree with kmb... they should have done a more Neko-centric song with her there. 07-08-22 09:56:14 _____________________________________________________
mymanicaunt ::: Favorites But Carl is almost always the lead on the singles, and it's good, he leads them well. The fact that Dan and Neko's songs don't become singles just makes them more likeable. And also, how do you play a song like "Go Places" on Letterman? It's a beautiful song, but it's not a good TV song. 07-08-22 10:48:13 _____________________________________________________
otisore ::: Favorites ha! it's funny because we're all agreeing, but coming from different angles (that's a good thing). to sum up what i 'think' we're all saying is...Neko's voice makes us melt, they picked a good song to play on national TV that may not have highlighted ALL of the bands' strong points (which would have been impossible but I wouldn't have minded seeing them perform Challengers), and that the New Pornos just keep churning out awesome music. Can't wait to seem them live again in a few weeks. cheers! 07-08-22 11:11:10 _____________________________________________________
kmb187 ::: Favorites Yes, that would have been a horrible choice! I was hoping they'd do "All the Things that Go to Make Heaven and Earth," as it's a mostly AC song, but the backup parts are somewhat more prominent and would have allowed for more contribution from Kathryn and Neko. 07-08-23 15:16:30 _____________________________________________________
kpcvids ::: Favorites it's a melodica he's playing... 07-08-22 09:50:49 _____________________________________________________
VomitSelf7 ::: Favorites Glad to see it, I was sleepy last night. 07-08-22 02:43:39 _____________________________________________________ |
