So here's my take: I think the reason he raised his eyebrows here is to point out to people in the UK, like the above, who accuse him of obfuscation, that America did stand by us and offer to help with the Iranian Navy lark. BlairSupporter ::: Favorites Mr Blair is arguably the most articulate communicator on the political world stage. He has NEVER obfuscated, just doesn't throw up in his hands in surrender to opponents, and that irritates them. Somehow he couldn't quite persuade most of us Brits that Iraq was and is a worthwile cause. He has persuaded me, though. What do you mean "those that disagree..." nitzwalsh86 ::: Favorites Now, this is a Canadian talking, not an American, so I suppose this is an example of how americanized our politics are, but wow, Mr. Blair is quite articulate for someone referred to as an obfuscator in British political circles, and when I've seen his opposition they are at least equally cerebral in nature...
